In this tutorial you will make your directory private or coming soon in WB Listora, so nobody sees it until you are ready. You need WB Listora Pro, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are four steps. Open Visibility. Choose a mode. Choose what it covers. Then see it as a visitor. Step one. Open Visibility. In your WordPress admin, go to Listora, then Settings, then Visibility. This keeps your directory, or your whole site, out of public view while you build it. Admins always have full access. Step two. Choose a mode. Visibility Mode has three choices. Public shows the directory to everyone. This is the default. Private sends visitors who are not signed in to the login page. Members who are signed in still see the directory. Coming Soon shows visitors a coming soon page instead of your directory. Pick it, then click Save Changes. Step three. Choose what it covers. Applies To has two choices. Directory only hides things such as your listings, directory pages, listing search and sitemaps. The rest of your site stays public. Whole site hides every page on the front end. Neither choice has any effect while the directory is Public. Step four. See it as a visitor. Once Coming Soon is saved, a visitor who opens the directory sees a coming soon page, not your listings. You and your admins still see the directory as normal. Set the mode back to Public when you are ready to open. That is all four. Open Visibility, choose a mode, choose what it covers, and see it as a visitor. You can now keep your directory hidden until you are ready to launch. Next in this series: Rename Listora for your clients with White Label.
