In this tutorial you will see the listing types in WB Listora, and choose which ones your directory offers. You need the free WB Listora plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open Listing Types. Read the list. Open a type. Set its status. Then see it as a member. Step one. Open Listing Types. In your WordPress admin, go to Listora, then Listing Types. Each type decides the fields, the categories and the features that a listing has. Add New Type, at the top right, makes your own type. The Badges tab, beside Listing Types at the top, comes with Pro. Step two. Read the list. Each row is a type, with its icon and its name, such as Business, Hotel or Restaurant. Status says whether members can use it. Fields counts the fields it holds. Listings counts the listings of that type. Search engines see is the kind of page search engines read it as. Business is a local business, and Job is a job posting. Step three. Open a type. Click Edit at the end of a row. Here it is Restaurant. The editor opens with its fields on the left, and Type Settings on the right. Step four. Set its status. Status holds two choices. Active, and Draft. Active lets members submit and browse the type. Draft hides it from members while you set it up. Pick one, then click Save Type, at the top right, to keep it. Step five. See it as a member. A member who adds a listing first chooses a type. Every active type that takes front-end submissions has a card here. A type you set to Draft would not. That is all five. Open Listing Types, read the list, open a type, set its status, and see it as a member. Your directory now offers the types you chose.
