Transcript

In this tutorial you will see how a listing type holds its fields in WB Listora, and where you add and arrange them. You need the free WB Listora plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open the type editor. Read the field groups. Read a field. Arrange the fields. Then see it on your site. Step one. Open the type editor. In your WordPress admin, go to Listora, then Listing Types, and click Edit on a type. This is the Restaurant editor. The fields of the type sit on the left. Step two. Read the field groups. A group is a box of fields that belong together. The first is Contact. It holds four fields. The second is Restaurant Details, with seven fields that only this type has. On the listing page, a group with something to show becomes its own tab. Contact details and photos show elsewhere on the page. Step three. Read a field. Each row is one field. Address has a name, a type, Map Location, and a key. The small chips say what the field does. Required means a listing must fill it in. On card shows it on the listing card. Filter lets visitors filter by it. Search makes its text searchable. Step four. Arrange the fields. The arrows beside a field move it up or down. The same arrows on a group header move the whole group. The pencil opens a field to edit it. The bin removes it from the type. Add Field, under a group, adds a new one. Add Field Group, at the foot, adds a new box. Click Save Type, at the top right, to keep your changes. Step five. See it on your site. A visitor opens the listing page of a restaurant. Restaurant Details is a tab. It shows the fields you set up, such as the cuisine, the price range and the hours. That is all five. Open the type editor, read the field groups, read a field, arrange the fields, and see it on your site. You know where a type keeps its fields, and how to arrange them. Next in this series: Hide a field from the listing page or the API.
