In this tutorial you will bring listings in with the visual importer in WB Listora Pro, and see how to import places from Google. You need WB Listora Pro, with the free WB Listora plugin. It takes about four minutes. There are four steps. Open Visual Import. Choose a file and a type. Map, preview and import. Then import from Google. Step one. Open Visual Import. Go to Listora, then Settings, and click Import / Export. With Pro, the CSV importer on this tab is Visual Import. It has four tabs. Upload, Map Fields, Preview, and Import. Step two. Choose a file and a type. Drop a file here, or click Choose File. It can be CSV, JSON or GeoJSON. Pick the Listing type the rows belong to, and a Default status for the new listings, such as Pending Review. Leave First row contains column headers ticked. Tick Update existing listings to match rows by title instead of adding copies. Below, Saved Templates lists mappings you kept for next time. There are none yet. Step three. Map, preview and import. Once you choose a file, the Map Fields tab opens. We will not upload one here. Once the file loads, Map Fields lists each column next to the Listora field it matches. Columns it recognises are matched for you, and you can change any of them or skip a column. You can save the mapping as a template. Next time, load it from Saved Templates. Preview then shows a few rows, and counts the valid ones, the warnings and the errors. Start Import runs it, and the last tab shows what was imported and what failed. Step four. Import from Google. Under Google Import, this card asks for a Google Maps API key first. Go to Settings, then Maps. The Google Maps API key goes in this box. It stays empty here. Once a key is saved, Google Import becomes a search form. You enter a place and a radius, and choose a business type and the listing type to import as. Once you have results, you tick the places you want, choose whether to bring photos, hours and the Google rating, and set a status for the new listings. That is all four. Open Visual Import, choose a file and a type, map, preview and import, and import from Google. You can now bring in data in any shape, and from Google. Next in this series: Choose the map provider and where maps start.
