In this tutorial you will import and export listings in WB Listora, and see how to move in from another directory plugin. You need the free WB Listora plugin, installed and active. WB Listora Pro adds a few options, and the voice says where. It takes about four minutes. There are four steps. Open Import and Export. Export your listings. Import a CSV file. Then move in from another plugin. Step one. Open Import and Export. Go to Listora, then Settings, and click Import / Export. This one tab holds every way in and out. Plugin Settings first, then Listings Data, and below them the extra importers that come with Pro. Step two. Export your listings. Under Listings Data, Export Listings has a Listing type list. Leave All types, or pick one type. Then click Export CSV. A file of your published listings downloads, with the column headers the importer reads back. We will not download one here. Plugin Settings has Download JSON. It saves every plugin setting in one file, to back up or to copy to another site. Next to it, Import Settings replaces your current settings with a file. Export first if you are not sure. Step three. Import a CSV file. This site runs WB Listora Pro, so the importer here is Pro's Visual Import. It has four tabs. Upload, Map Fields, Preview, and Import. Drop in a file, or click Choose File. Pick the Listing type the rows belong to, and a Default status for the new listings. Leave First row contains column headers ticked. Tick Update existing listings to match rows by title instead of adding copies. A large file imports in the background. We will not upload one here. On the free plugin alone, this place shows a simpler Import Listings card instead, with a listing type, a CSV file and an Import CSV button. Step four. Move in from another plugin. With Pro, Competitor Migration lists GeoDirectory, Directorist, HivePress and Business Directory Plugin. None of them is on this site, so each card says Not installed, and its button reads Install plugin to migrate. Once that plugin is active and has listings, the card shows how many it found, and the button becomes Configure and Migrate. There you pick a listing type, run a dry run to preview the result, and then start the migration. On the free plugin alone, the same sources sit under Settings, then Migration. That is all four. Open Import and Export, export your listings, import a CSV file, and move in from another plugin. You can now take your listings out, and bring others in. Next in this series: Map columns with the visual importer, or import from Google.
