A WordPress directory plugin turns an ordinary WordPress site into a listing site. It gives you listings with their own fields. Search, filters and a map. And a form, so people add their own listing and you do not type it in for them. Before you choose one, check six things. Does it have listing types, each with its own fields? Is search and a map built in? Can people submit from the front of the site? Does it have reviews? Can a business owner claim a listing? And can you import and export your data, so you are never locked in? Listing types first. Ten are ready to use, including business, restaurant and hotel, real estate, jobs and events. Each type has its own fields, and you can build a type of your own. Now search and a map, on a real WordPress site. Pick a type, and the list and the map update together. The map needs no key to set up. Categories have their own page, for visitors who would sooner browse than search. Every listing has its own page. Visitors save the ones they like, and find them again in their own dashboard. A listing is more than a name and an address. This one shows the services it offers, with prices. Reviews. Star ratings and written reviews on every listing. And claims. A listing you added yourself carries a claim button for the real owner. Front end submission. A business owner signs in and picks the type of listing. Then a step by step form takes over, with photos, opening hours and a pin on the map. No access to the WordPress admin is needed. On your side, one dashboard counts the published listings and shows what is waiting for you. Claims wait here until you decide, and then ownership moves to the business. The sixth point is your data. Bring listings in from a CSV, JSON or GeoJSON file. Export them any time you like. And if you already run another directory plugin, there are importers that move your listings across. All six are in the free plugin. The Pro version adds the business side. Paid listing plans, Google Maps, analytics and lead forms. Some people start a directory with plain pages. Then they type every listing themselves, where a plugin lets owners add their own. There is no real search, where a plugin has filters and a map. No reviews and no claims. And it gets harder with every listing you add. Every listing you type into a plain page today is a listing you will have to move later. WB Listora is the directory plugin for WordPress. Install the directory plugin this week, and add your first ten listings. Get WB Listora. The link is below.
