Want to build a real estate website, or looking for classified ads software? They are the same kind of site. Every property or item has its own page. Buyers search and filter. And sellers post their own. That is a listing site, and WordPress can run one. A property listing needs a price, the number of bedrooms and the size. It needs photos, a place on the map, and a way to contact the agent. A classified ad is simpler. A category, a price, photos, and a seller to contact. What the two share is that their fields are different from a normal web page. So you need listing types. On WordPress, a directory plugin gives you those. A real estate type and a classified type are ready from the start, each with its own fields. And you can add a type of your own, for cars, boats or rentals, with the fields you choose. Here is how a seller posts, on a real WordPress site. They sign in and open the add listing form, which starts by asking what they are listing. The form then takes them through it step by step.
